Poetic Trinity
by: Michaelette Romano, Marc Peterson, and

The three began as one alone
wandering the cobbled stones
of paths so often tread by other feet
and other hearts and souls
when spirit glanced askance
and spied a quiet meadow
where sunshine danced upon the morning dew
lying there within a distance never measured
close and yet so far away from what is known

as three stars become one moon
the beginning of the ending of the now has arrived
we dance at dawn, 6 hands joined as 3 pairs
a dainty jig, it showers us with glee
for we have found a common ground
something to keep us together
so we expound on it, let it take us where it leads

Dancing and singing amongst the stars below the fire;
not three hands, not five fingers but three minds on fire.
Glowing to the venerated sun on the canvas of the sky;
We envelope thus;
the leadership of triple tranquil tasks.
As chameleons and zebra engulf the ripeness of our juice;
We shout and raise our three glasses.
Rotating and creating in squalid space

while grace arises, round and all about
light-tinctured stardust pouring down
like misty rain, a silent shroud enfolding us
and then the sparrows start to sing
a joyous trill that falls out of the trees
turning all that was invisible to form
as desires of three minds thus joined
become a trinity of great creation
within a crystal city full of light

as bright as a new beginning,
as slight as wind never ending,
we grasp at thoughts that dance before us
to decipher this code of life
three minds think as one rhyme
as we move to the rhythm around us
poetry times three equals infinite equations

indeed the fire of heaven be hot
but the cool patience of the dawn is fought
in a rhapsody of mindless banter for the careless deed
yet no care can approve such beautiful prose.
Glittering and muttering incessant with pride,
in the ocean of the swimming seals
Light and water drop to their knees.
For high we rise, thrice as high

into a state of purest poetry
where emotions come to dance
enhanced within a flow of magic singing
as other worlds begin to open out
just as we focus here, between we three
upon one point, one particle
to find life flows in waves and in degrees
just like the stillness found
within a soft and gentle summer breeze

As a breeze gives birth,
its words tangle within my hair
telling tales of lost causes
including those that aren't so lost
as faith reemerges, we find hidden strength
in our combined talents, we harvest
the ways of the land, scribes to this earth
fulfilling duties not given to the ordinary
we three are history's embrace

Sometimes we call upon the waiter
to fill a glass with the costly wine from the vine.
A cork is popped, a glass is dropped
And meticulously we ponder to our future.
In glee we drink like morons yet not seen,
but the three growing grapes of truth really now unfold.
We feed our mouths with tasty morsels
In knowledge of the splitting of our food
With not a worry for the cost will be triangulated.

Three points that touch, creating form anew
and a surge of power grew into awareness
as a vortex was created in their crossing
lines of energy now joining in expansion
like strings played by the hands of deity
and vibrations echoed out in golden notes of artistry
arising, and then blending into living tapestries
while the three as one just drifted
into the fourth of Orpheus
become no more than strings upon his lyre

Like three different versions of the same symphony,
we make beautiful music with our words,
our thoughts undisturbed, powerful to the touch
power that corrupts those such as the weak,
the unprepared, they can't handle what we wake up with
it grows within us, it shows within us, our tendency to grow
like plants reaching towards the sun, we continue to grow

Hercules holds up a mountain in his disgust;
And we press it back down with our opposing power.
And we iron our shirts that have stains of magic broth;
We sweep the floor where stardust seems to have fallen.
Every three ghettos, every three cities;
Every three hopes, every three shops;
Are linked inextricably to our comprehension

and so we shall remain, we three
for poetry is destiny
that writes itself through human hands
that all might come to understand
in unity we find rebirth
within a newborn form that lives
forever in the trinity of soul
