Ode Ode
Ode to the world!
To all the freaks and spies.
Ode to all the things that be yellow;
Ode to your life and my life.
Once upon a land,
Lived a speckled band of people;
So boundless, so affable;
That they would take showers
With their clothes still on.
Our leaders lie controversially;
Striding like peacocks in jest.
Peacocks are useless to the world.
Often I open my eyelids like a spent squirrel;
That forages through the opulent forests of ages;
Tail wagging in delightful unrest.
Rest.
Now, I rest.
Amongst the palms.
In a hammock;
Among the waters and soils.
The rest stride to the sunset of La Mancha.
Belts heavy;
With a fistful of dollars.
