The bird sitting on the fence outside,
Chirps in disbelief.
As I watch it fly away.
It flies yonder.
Like me.
It sees.
It observes the truth.
The world has opened.
Surges of perspiration
And of inspiration
Flow so convincingly
Through my body.
The world pulsates inside.
My throbbing heart
As I gaze infectiously yonder.
Thumping away.
To the open door.
To the centre of the world.
My world.
As the key on the door is turned,
Wind combs every singular strand
Of the hair on my head.
I glisten.
Hope provides the confidence.
